Gundam 00 - 17

by: Tales

This episode was quite informative and showed what some of the new gundams are capable of.  I did originally think that they would have little battle experience, but Michael Trinity handled the situation faster than most of the other gudam meisters would have.  Anyways, it appears that there was a wreckage with the blue haro on it 80 years ago.  Maybe this has something to do with the first generation of gundam meisters?  That’s what I’m leaning towards at the moment.  However, it seems the blue haro must have had the gundam throne data stored on it.  It also had it’s memory wiped and didn’t recognize Lockon’s haro.

The kissing scene with Nena and Setsuna definitely shocked me.  I was sure that Marina would be Setsuna’s first kiss if it ever happened.  Nena also was able to enter Veda’s communication room which Tieria uses.  This makes me wonder if the Trinity siblings may be super soldiers or something like Tieria.

Another fact about where the solar generators were created is answered.  They seemed to be created long ago on Jupiter when an expedition there took place.  I’m going to guess that Lockon’s haro was also on that wrecked ship.  it must have also carried some data on the gundams.  Either way, I’m quite interested to see what the provoked gundam meisters will do about the Trinity siblings taking over.  Will they accept them, or fight against them?  We’ll have to see what new developments happen next episode.

On a side note, Louise looked to be in the hospital for some reason after getting on the shuttle in the episode 18 preview.  I’m hoping they don’t kill off Saji for some reason.  That would make me somewhat sad for Louise.  I do enjoy their screentime.

Gundam 00 - 16

by: Tales

The new Throne Gundam pilots reveal themselves this episode.  Each of them with the last name Trinity.  I admit I expected more from Nena Trinity.  It felt like she didn’t take anything seriously.  These new gundams do look more poweful and advanced.  We still don’t find out what type of GN Particles they run on or how they were built.

I’m only guessing, but I think the Trinity siblings have some ulterior motive for their saving the Gundam Meisters.  Nena also seems to have a Haro like Lockon.  It seems that Veda did not inform the other members of Celestial Being about the new gundams as well.  Next episode I’m sure he’ll give his explanation.

The other half of the episode was a recap.  We’ll see the new Gundams in action on a mission next episode.  Hopefully they have enough experience to be successful.

Gundam 00 - 15

by: Tales

Overall, this was an enjoyable episode.  At the beginning the Gundam Meisters head out to intervene, but the Union, the Human Reformation League and the AEU surround the gundams.  From what we know, the four gundams are up against nearly 1000 units.  This is truly reckless even for four gundams to handle.  Retreat seems impossible for the Meisters at the moment.  What bothers me is the reason why they still went on this mission knowing the possible threat that it was a trap.  I hope they won’t make these reckless decisions in the future.

Well Allelujah still gets his mind scrambled when Soma Peelis comes near him.  You would think he would get that fixed by now?  Either way, she is able to capture him.  Tieria is also captured rather easily.  His blasts are much too slow.  He is better off shedding Virtue’s armor.  He may have to do that next episode.  Lockon is then finally taken down by Graham Acre.

The meisters fight for over 15 hours during this battle.  It’s hard to imagine being bombarded by that many explosives, while in a gundam for that amount of time with no escape.  Quite harsh conditions.

However, Setsuna manages to escape and runs into Ali Al-Sarches.  He is also taken down in about 10 seconds.  I’m hoping he’s just sloppy from fighting for over 15 hours, because that was pitiful how easily he was pinned down.  A new gundam appears and saves Setsuna.  The other two Throne Gundams appear near the other Gundam Meisters.

Next episode we’ll find out whether the Throne Gundams are friend or foe.  I’m interested to see who the pilots are and why their GN particles are red.  The weaponry on one of the gundams resembled the Dragoon system that Strike Freedom uses in Gundam Seed Destiny.

Gundam 00 - 14

by: Tales

With this episode we recieve a much needed new OP and ED.  The graphics especially are very well compiled in it.  It really helps move the series along in the direction it’s headed for.  First, we see that the Union, the Human Reformation League and the AEU have combined their forces in order to combat the gundams.  Things will definitely get harder for Celestial Being after this.  This episode was basically building up for the next episode’s battle.

Saji and Louise also see some airtime in this episode again.  This time Saji drags Setsuna with him to comfort Louise after her mother leaves.  I do admit I think Saji and Louise will definitely have a purpose in this series and not just be disposable side characters.  I do enjoy seeing Setsuna dragged along for trivial tasks though.

Setsuna feels the need to go see Marina Ismael to figure out why the world is twisted.  He really makes too many dumb moves for a Celestial Being member.  Secrecy isn’t as important to him I guess.  Most likely he really trusts Marina at this point and things highly of her advice.  Possibly since he also lived in the Middle East.

But anyways, the gundams are headed towards the training grounds where the enemy will be waiting for their chance to capture a gundam.  Things don’t seem to be going well for the Gundam Meisters lately.  The preview title "Broken Wings" could hint at Celestial Being finally being defeated.  Let’s hope for the best out of this series!
